To get to the Rifle Range: Proceed straight ahead after entering the gate to the parking area about 300 yards down the drive way. You will see a covered firing line with six shooting benches and an open area with four firing points for those who don’t want to use the covered area. The warm-up shed is on the left end of the cover and there is a sani-can to the right of the rifle range.

The range has a fixed target hanging area at the impact berm and all targets must be mounted on these backer boards on the rifle range. No portable target stands are permitted on the rifle range except if specifically authorized by the Rangemaster for special events.

Shooters are permitted to go down range to shoot shorter distances than 100 yards but extreme care and communications with other shooters is required for safety. Good sportsmanship and patience is key to short-range shooting on the rifle range. It is generally unsupervised so shooters must be constantly aware of their shooting environment to insure safety.

Short-range shooters may use the pistol range if available and use the appropriate target stands. If in doubt, check it out with the Rangemaster on duty.  Review the range rules posted at the range and available by clicking the button below.

Special safety rules apply for shooters wishing to use the 200 or 300 yard firing points situated to the right of the driveway leading to the rifle/pistol range. Always check with the Rangemaster before setting up at either of these points and physically check to make sure that the rifle range, pistol range and warm-up shed are completely unoccupied before starting to shoot at these points.

NRA/CMP sanctioned High Power matches are conducted the second Sunday of each month beginning at 11:30 am and running till 4 pm. This is a supervised event and only participants will use the rifle range. All are welcome and the match fee is generally $15.00 per shooter.

Light rifle matches are held the last Saturday of each month and are open to any shooter wishing to compete for prize money. These matches are conducted as fund-raisers for the Junior shooter programs and are fired using any rifle of 22 caliber or smaller. Match entry fee is $15.00 and prizes are awarded based on the number of participants. It’s great fun.
