Dedication for Howard Armstrong and John Woodworth: The memory of Charter Members Howard Armatrong and John Woodworth was honored at a ceremony dedicating the Training Building to Howard and the Rifle Range to John at 1 pm Sunday, October 19, 2008.
Long-time friend and JCSA Treasurer Mike Moug led the ceremony at the Rifle Range for family members and friends.
Meeting Times: The JCSA Executive Committee elected to change the time of the regular general membership meetings to 7 pm instead of the usual 7:30 pm. Meetings are still the last Tuesday of each month (except Nov & Dec when they are the second Tuesday. The change became effective with the July 29, 2008 meeting and will remain in effect until changed by the EC. Executive Committee meetings at 7 pm on the third Thursday of each month in the clubhouse at the shotgun range were re-scheduled in favor of having them in combination with the regular membership meetings on the last Tuesday of each month.
Fall "Meat" Shoots Scheduled: The JCSA Trap Range will sponsor holiday "meat" shoots in Nonember and December as usual. These trap shoots offer great ways to enjoy a specialty trap shoot and possibly win a turkey on November 15 and/or a ham on December 13. These meets are held on Saturdays due to the extra time needed to set-up and run the events but shooting is not planned to begin until the regular time of 10 am.
